The red bird of courage

Wish me luck! Today I have my first physiology II test. I have studied hard, and have prepared myself, so hopefully my hard work will pay off. The good thing about 2nd semester is no more early morning tests! We actually get to take the test during our scheduled class time. On Wednesday I have my parasitology exam. Both classes are interesting because we are starting to learn more and more about clinical situations. For example my physio test today is all about renal physiology. How much blood the kidney receives, how the blood is filtered through the kidney, what actually gets filtered etc. Kidney disease is common in small animal medicine, so knowing everything there is to know about the kidney is crucial. In parasitology we are learning about the different parasites of cats and dogs, from heart worms, to roundworms to hookworms, you name it! Second semester is a challenge, but I have my red bird of courage with me, so all will be OK. :) Hope everyone has a happy Monday, and a good week!
