Cranial Nerve VII. Facial nerve, motor to muscles of facial expression, sensory to the rostral 2/3 of the tongue and parasympathetic to the lacrimal and salivary gland. Look for a deviation of philtrum, droopy ear, excessive drooling. Test the palpebral reflex.
That was just a little taste as to what my test will be over. We had to learn all 12 cranial nerves, and will be asked randomly about 2 of them in the small animal papation portion of our test.
